Area Code 6432 – Krasnyi Luch, Luhansk

Overview of Area Code 6432

Area code 6432 is a geographic National Destination Code (NDC) assigned to the city of Krasnyi Luch (also known as Khrustalnyi) and the surrounding territories within the Luhansk Oblast of Ukraine. This code is part of the national numbering plan administered by the Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies (UCRF) under the framework of ITU-T E.164. The region is located in the eastern part of the country, and the code serves both residential and business fixed-line subscribers connected to the public switched telephone network (PSTN).

Coverage and Administrative Jurisdiction

The 6432 code covers the administrative boundaries of the Krasnyi Luch city council, which includes the city itself and adjacent settlements. Historically, this area has been part of the Luhansk Oblast, and the code is used for landline services provided by local operators. Due to the ongoing conflict in the region, the actual service availability may vary, but the numbering plan remains officially assigned.

Dialing Formats

For callers within Ukraine, the national dialing format requires the trunk prefix 0 followed by the area code and the subscriber number. The complete national number is 0 6432 XX-XX-XX, where the subscriber number typically consists of 5 to 7 digits. For example, a local number might be 0 6432 12345 (if 5 digits) or 0 6432 123456 (if 6 digits).

For international callers, the format is +380 6432 XX-XX-XX, where +380 is the country calling code for Ukraine. For instance, to call a number in Krasnyi Luch from abroad, you would dial +380 6432 12345. It is important to omit the leading 0 of the national trunk prefix when dialing from outside Ukraine.

Local and International Caller Instructions

• Local calls within Krasnyi Luch: If you are calling from another fixed-line number within the same area code, you may be able to dial only the subscriber number (without the area code) depending on the local network configuration. However, for clarity and to avoid misdialing, it is recommended to use the full national format.
• Calls from other regions of Ukraine: Dial 0 6432 followed by the subscriber number. For example, 0 6432 12345.
• Calls from abroad: Dial your country's international access prefix (e.g., 00 from most European countries, 011 from the US/Canada), then 380 (Ukraine's country code), then 6432 (area code without the leading 0), and then the subscriber number. Example: +380 6432 12345.

Overlay and Numbering Considerations

As of the latest update, there is no overlay code for the 6432 area. The numbering capacity is sufficient for the population density of the region. However, if you are experiencing difficulties reaching numbers in this area, it may be due to network outages or changes in service providers. Always verify the current status with your telecom operator.
