Area Code 6277 – Dobropolia, Donetsk

Geographic Overview

Area code +380 6277 is a geographic National Destination Code (NDC) assigned to the city of Dobropolia and its surrounding settlements within the Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine. This code is part of the national numbering plan administered by the Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies (UCRF) under the framework of ITU-T E.164. The Donetsk region is historically an industrial hub, and Dobropolia serves as a local administrative and economic center, with coal mining and related industries playing a significant role.

Geographic Coverage and Jurisdiction

The +380 6277 prefix covers the administrative territory of the Dobropilska urban hromada, which includes the city of Dobropolia and nearby villages. It is important to note that due to the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine, the actual service availability may be affected, and network infrastructure could be subject to temporary disruptions. However, the numbering plan remains officially allocated to this geographic area.

Dialing Formats

When calling a fixed-line subscriber in Dobropolia from within Ukraine, the national trunk prefix 0 is used, followed by the area code and the subscriber number. The local subscriber number length is typically 5 to 7 digits, making the total national significant number (NSN) length 9 digits (excluding the trunk prefix). For example, a local number might be 5-12-34, and the national dialing format would be 0 6277 5-12-34.

From abroad, callers must use the international prefix (e.g., 00 or +), followed by the country code 380, the area code 6277 (without the leading zero), and the subscriber number. Thus, the international format becomes +380 6277 5-12-34.

Caller Instructions

• Local callers within Dobropolia: In many cases, local calls may be made using only the subscriber number, depending on the operator's dialing plan. However, it is recommended to use the full national format to ensure proper routing.
• Callers from other Ukrainian cities: Dial 0 6277 followed by the subscriber number.
• International callers: Dial your country's international access code (e.g., 011 from the US, 00 from most European countries), then 380, then 6277, and the subscriber number.

Overlay and Numbering Considerations

As of the latest available data, there is no overlay code for the Dobropolia area. The +380 6277 code is exclusively assigned to the geographic region, and no other NDC overlays it. Subscriber numbers within this code are allocated to fixed-line operators, and number portability is available for fixed lines, allowing users to retain their numbers when switching operators, though the geographic significance remains.
