Area Code 5745 – Lozova, Kharkiv

Geographic Overview

The +380 5745 area code is a geographic National Destination Code (NDC) assigned to the city of Lozova and its surrounding administrative district in the Kharkiv Oblast (province) of eastern Ukraine. Lozova is an important railway junction and industrial center, located approximately 148 kilometers southeast of the city of Kharkiv. The code follows the ITU-T E.164 international numbering plan and is used for fixed-line (PSTN) services within this specific geographic area.

Dialing Formats

When calling a Lozova fixed-line number from abroad, you must dial the international prefix (e.g., 00 from most European countries, 011 from North America), followed by Ukraine's country code +380, then the area code 5745 (without the leading zero), and finally the local subscriber number. For example, a typical international dialing sequence would be: +380 5745 12345.

For domestic long-distance calls within Ukraine, you dial 0 (the trunk prefix) followed by the area code and subscriber number: 0 5745 12345. If you are physically located within the Lozova exchange area, you may be able to dial the local subscriber number directly without the area code, depending on the local dialing plan. However, for clarity and to avoid misdialing, it is recommended to use the full domestic format when calling from mobile networks or other regions.

Geographic vs. Non-Geographic Nature

This is a geographic code, meaning that the number is tied to a physical location. The allocation of numbers in the 5745 range is managed by the Ukrainian National Commission for State Regulation of Communications and Informatization (NCCIR). Subscribers are typically connected via copper, fiber, or cable infrastructure to the local PSTN exchange. Overlay codes have not been introduced for Lozova; therefore, the 5745 code remains the sole geographic area code for this region.

Caller Instructions

• International callers: Dial your country's exit code, then 380, then 5745, then the local number (e.g., +380 5745 12345).
• Domestic callers outside Lozova: Dial 0, then 5745, then the local number (e.g., 0 5745 12345).
• Local callers within Lozova: If your phone line is within the same exchange, you may dial only the local subscriber number. Check with your service provider for exact local dialing rules.

Note that while VoIP services and mobile operators may allow you to store numbers in international format, the routing is always based on the geographic location of the fixed line. For any emergency or directory assistance, local numbers apply.
