Caller Instructions

• Local callers (within Kupyansk): In many cases, local calls may be dialed using only the subscriber number without the area code, depending on the local network configuration. However, for calls from other cities or mobile networks, the full national format (0 5742...) is required.
• National callers (from other regions of Ukraine): Dial 0 5742 followed by the subscriber number. For example, from Kyiv, you would dial 0 5742 3-45-67.
• International callers: Dial your country's international access code (e.g., 011 from North America), then 380 5742 and the subscriber number. For example, from the US, you would dial 011 380 5742 3-45-67.

Numbering and Overlay Considerations

As of the latest numbering plan data, there is no overlay code for Kupyansk; the 5742 prefix is the sole geographic code for the fixed-line service in this area. The subscriber numbers are allocated by the local incumbent operator, which is part of the Ukrtelecom group, though alternative fixed-line operators may also provide services using this code. The number length after the country code and NDC is typically 5 to 7 digits, resulting in a total national significant number length of 9 digits (including the NDC), which complies with ITU-T E.164 recommendations.

It is important to note that due to the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine, some fixed-line services in the region may be disrupted or rerouted. Callers should verify the current status of the network with their service provider if they encounter issues.
