Area Code 5367 – Kremenchug, Poltava

Geographic Overview

The +380 5367 country and area code combination corresponds to a geographic numbering plan area within the Poltava Oblast of Ukraine, specifically serving the city of Kremenchuk (Kremenchug) and its surrounding administrative district. Kremenchuk is a significant industrial center located on the Dnipro River, and the 5367 code is allocated to fixed-line PSTN services within this region. As a geographic code, it is tied to a physical location, and calls to numbers bearing this prefix are routed to the Kremenchuk telephone exchange.

Dialing Formats

For callers within Ukraine, the national trunk prefix '0' must be dialed before the area code, followed by the subscriber number. The complete national format is 0 5367 XXX XX XX, where '5367' is the National Destination Code (NDC) and the remaining digits constitute the local subscriber number. For international callers, the Ukrainian country code (+380) replaces the trunk prefix, and the number is dialed as +380 5367 XXX XX XX. It is important to note that the leading '0' is not included when dialing from abroad.

Local and International Caller Instructions

Local callers within Kremenchuk may be able to dial the subscriber number directly without the area code, depending on the specific exchange and local dialing procedures. However, for calls from other regions of Ukraine or from abroad, the full national or international format must be used. For example, a caller in Kyiv would dial 0 5367 123 45 67, while a caller from the United States would dial 011 380 5367 123 45 67 (or use the '+' sign on mobile devices).

Numbering and Overlay Considerations

As of the current numbering plan, there is no overlay code for the Kremenchuk area, meaning the 5367 code is exclusively used for this geographic region. Subscriber numbers within this code typically consist of five to seven digits, and the total length of a national significant number (NSN) is nine digits (excluding the trunk prefix). The Ukrainian regulator, the Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies (UCRF), administers the numbering plan in accordance with ITU-T E.164 recommendations.

Practical Usage

Businesses and residents in Kremenchuk use these numbers for fixed-line telephony, including PSTN and VoIP services that are registered to the geographic location. When displaying a Kremenchuk number on websites or marketing materials, it is advisable to use the international format (+380 5367...) to ensure clarity for both domestic and international audiences. Always verify the current numbering plan with the local telecom operator or the UCRF for any changes due to number portability or reallocation.
