Area Code 4853 – Limanske/Rozdilna, Odesa

Overview of Area Code +380 4853

Area code +380 4853 is a geographic National Destination Code (NDC) assigned to the Limanske and Rozdilna districts in the Odesa Oblast of Ukraine. This code is part of the national numbering plan administered by the Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies, following ITU-T E.164 recommendations. The region is located in the southwestern part of Ukraine, near the border with Moldova, and is characterized by a mix of rural settlements and small urban centers.

Geographic Coverage and Administrative Jurisdiction

The code covers the administrative districts of Limanske (formerly Kominternivske) and Rozdilna, both within the Odesa Oblast. Key towns and villages served include Rozdilna, Lymanske, and surrounding rural communities. These areas are primarily agricultural, with Rozdilna serving as a significant railway junction.

Dialing Formats

For callers within Ukraine, the national trunk prefix 0 is used, followed by the area code and the subscriber number. The full national format is:

• 0 4853 XX-XX-XX (for local calls within Ukraine)

For international callers, the country code +380 is used instead of the trunk prefix, followed by the area code and subscriber number:

• +380 4853 XX-XX-XX (international format)

Subscriber numbers in this area typically consist of 5 to 7 digits, depending on the local exchange capacity. When dialing from a mobile phone within Ukraine, the same national format applies, and the call is routed as a geographic call.

Overlay Considerations

Currently, there is no overlay code for the 4853 area. The Odesa region uses multiple geographic codes (e.g., 48 for Odesa city, 4851, 4852, etc.) to serve different districts. As of the latest numbering plan updates, no overlay or area code changes are planned for 4853, but subscribers should always verify the current dialing instructions with their service provider.

Caller Instructions

For local callers: When calling within the same area code, you may be able to dial only the subscriber number, depending on your operator's settings. However, it is recommended to use the full national format to avoid misrouting.

For foreign callers: Always use the international format: +380 4853 followed by the subscriber number. Ensure you replace the leading zero of the national format with the country code.

This area code is used for both fixed-line PSTN and VoIP services that are assigned geographic numbers. Mobile numbers in Ukraine are assigned separate non-geographic codes (e.g., 50, 63, 66, 67, etc.) and are not affected by this geographic code.
