Area Code 4845 – Artsis, Odesa

Geographic Overview

The +380 4845 prefix is a geographic National Destination Code (NDC) assigned to the fixed-line telephone network serving the city of Artsyz (also transliterated as Artsis) and its surrounding administrative district within the Odesa Oblast of Ukraine. This numbering area falls under the jurisdiction of the Ukrainian National Commission for State Regulation of Communications and Informatization, which administers the national E.164 numbering plan in accordance with ITU-T recommendations. The region is located in the southern part of Ukraine, near the border with Moldova, and is part of the historical region of Bessarabia. The code is used exclusively for PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) services, and it is not portable to mobile networks.

Dialing Formats

For callers within Ukraine, the national trunk prefix '0' is used, followed by the area code and the subscriber number. The complete national significant number for a subscriber in Artsyz is 10 digits long, formatted as: 0 4845 XX XX XX. For example, a local number might be dialed as 04845 3 45 67 from within the country.

For international callers, the Ukrainian country code +380 is used, and the trunk prefix '0' is omitted. The international format is: +380 4845 XX XX XX. For instance, if the local number is 3 45 67, the international dialing format would be +380 4845 3 45 67. The total length of the international number, including the country code, is 12 digits.

Local and Foreign Caller Instructions

• Local callers (within Artsyz or the Odesa region): To call another fixed line within the same area code, you may need to dial only the subscriber number (without the area code) if your operator supports local calls. However, for clarity and to avoid misdials, it is recommended to always use the full national format: 0 4845 followed by the subscriber number.
• National callers (from other regions of Ukraine): Dial the trunk prefix '0', then the area code 4845, and then the subscriber number. Example: 0 4845 3 45 67.
• International callers (from outside Ukraine): Dial your country's international access code (e.g., 00 from most European countries, 011 from the US/Canada), then Ukraine's country code 380, then the area code 4845 (without the leading zero), and then the subscriber number. Example: +380 4845 3 45 67.

Overlay and Numbering Considerations

As of the latest ITU-T and Ukrainian regulatory updates, there is no overlay code for the 4845 area. The numbering capacity is sufficient for the current subscriber base. However, if you are experiencing difficulties reaching a number, verify that the subscriber number is correct and that you are using the proper international prefix. For mobile calls to this fixed line, the same dialing rules apply.
