Area Code 4596 – Vyshgorod/Dimer/Pirnove, Kyiv

Geographic Scope and Administrative Jurisdiction

The Ukrainian national destination code 4596 is a geographic area code assigned to the Vyshhorod district of Kyiv Oblast (Kyiv region). This code covers the administrative center of Vyshhorod and the surrounding settlements, including Dymyr and Pirnove. The area is located immediately north of the capital city, Kyiv, along the Dnipro River, and is part of the Kyiv agglomeration. The code is used for fixed-line telephone services within this district, which falls under the jurisdiction of the National Commission for State Regulation of Communications and Informatization (NCCIR).

Dialing Formats and Caller Instructions

For callers within Ukraine, dialing a number in the Vyshhorod district requires the trunk prefix 0, followed by the area code 4596, and the subscriber number. The national format is: 0 4596 XX XX XX. For example, a local number might be 0 4596 12 34 56.

For international callers, the Ukrainian country code +380 replaces the trunk prefix. The international format is: +380 4596 XX XX XX. For instance, the same number would be dialed as +380 4596 12 34 56 from abroad. It is important to omit the leading zero of the area code when dialing from outside Ukraine.

Within the local area, callers may often use abbreviated dialing (without the area code) for calls to other numbers within the same exchange, but this practice is not standardized and depends on the operator. For clarity, always use the full national or international format when dialing from a mobile phone or from outside the local area.

Overlay and Numbering Plan Considerations

As of the latest NCCIR updates, there is no overlay code for the 4596 area. The Kyiv region has multiple geographic codes, and the 4596 code is exclusively used for the Vyshhorod district. Subscriber numbers in this area are typically 7 digits long, following the area code, resulting in a total of 10 digits for the national significant number (excluding the trunk prefix). The numbering plan follows the ITU-T E.164 recommendation, ensuring global interoperability.

Service Providers and Usage

Fixed-line services in the 4596 area are provided by Ukrtelecom, the incumbent operator, as well as alternative operators offering VoIP and PSTN services. The code is used for residential and business lines, and it supports standard telephony services including voice, fax, and dial-up internet. Calls to this code from mobile networks are charged at national rates, and calls from abroad are subject to international tariffs.

For businesses, having a local geographic number in Vyshhorod can enhance local presence and customer trust. It is essential for companies operating in the area to list their numbers in the correct international format to facilitate inbound calls from partners and clients worldwide.
