Area Code 4577 – Borodyanka/Klavdievo-Tarasovo/Nemishaive, Kyiv

Overview of Area Code +380 4577

Area code +380 4577 is a geographic National Destination Code (NDC) assigned to the northern part of Kyiv Oblast (Kyiv region) in Ukraine. Specifically, it serves the administrative districts of Borodyanka, Klavdievo-Tarasove, and Nemishaieve, which are located approximately 40–60 kilometers northwest of the capital city, Kyiv. These localities are part of the historical Polesia region, characterized by forested areas and a mix of residential communities and small industrial enterprises.

Geographic Coverage and Administrative Jurisdiction

The code covers the urban-type settlements and surrounding villages within the Borodyanka district (now part of Bucha Raion after the 2020 administrative reform). Key settlements include the town of Borodyanka, the village of Klavdievo-Tarasove, and the settlement of Nemishaieve. These areas have seen significant development due to their proximity to Kyiv, with many residents commuting to the capital for work.

Dialing Formats and Caller Instructions

For local callers within Ukraine (excluding the same code), the number must be dialed as 0 4577 XXX XX (where X represents the subscriber number). For international callers, the format is +380 4577 XXX XX or +3804577XXXXX when written without spaces. The total number length after the country code is 9 digits (including the NDC), which is standard for Ukrainian geographic numbers.

When calling from a fixed-line phone within the same area code, local dialing may allow omitting the trunk prefix and area code, but this practice is becoming less common due to number portability and the increasing use of VoIP. For mobile callers, the full national format (0 4577...) is always required.

Overlay and Numbering Plan Considerations

As of the latest ITU-T E.164 national numbering plan, there is no overlay code for this area. Subscriber numbers within the 4577 code have a capacity of up to 10,000 lines (since the subscriber number length is 5 digits). The code is managed by the Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies (UCRF) and allocated to fixed-line operators, primarily Ukrtelecom, the incumbent operator, though alternative operators may also provide services in the region.

Practical Information for Callers

For international callers, it is essential to replace the trunk prefix '0' with the Ukrainian country code '+380'. Example: to call a number in Borodyanka with subscriber number 12345, dial +380 4577 12345 from abroad. For callers within Ukraine but outside the 4577 area, dial 0 4577 12345. Charges for calls to this geographic code are typically lower than mobile rates, and calls from mobile phones may be subject to different tariffs depending on the operator.

Since the region is close to Kyiv, some businesses may use this code for offices located in the suburban areas, but it remains a fixed-line code. If you receive a call from +380 4577, it is a legitimate fixed-line number in the Kyiv region.
