Area Code 3635 – Rokitne, Rivne

Geographic Overview of Area Code +380 3635

Area code +380 3635 is a geographic National Destination Code (NDC) assigned to the fixed-line telephone network of Rokytne (also transliterated as Rokitne), a settlement in the Rivne Oblast of western Ukraine. This code is part of the national numbering plan administered by the Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies (UCRF) under the framework of ITU-T E.164. The region is served by the local incumbent operator, Ukrtelecom, and alternative fixed-line operators that have been allocated numbers within this NDC.

Rokytne is the administrative center of the Rokytnivskyi Raion, located in the Polissia lowland area. The code covers the town itself and the surrounding rural settlements within the raion. The geographic coverage is limited to a specific local exchange area, and the code is not portable outside this region for fixed-line services.

Dialing Formats

For callers within Ukraine, the national trunk prefix 0 is used, followed by the NDC and the subscriber number. The full national number is 0 3635 XX-XX-XX (where X represents digits of the local subscriber number). For international callers, the Ukrainian country code +380 is used, followed by the NDC without the leading zero: +380 3635 XX-XX-XX.

For example, a local number in Rokytne might be 2-34-56. To call this number from Kyiv, you would dial 0 3635 2-34-56. From abroad, you would dial +380 3635 2-34-56.

Caller Instructions

• Local callers (within Rokytne): In most cases, local calls can be made using the 5- or 6-digit subscriber number without the area code, depending on the operator's dialing plan. However, for clarity and to avoid misdialing, it is recommended to use the full national format.
• National callers (from other Ukrainian cities): Dial 0 3635 followed by the subscriber number. For example, to call the number 2-34-56 from Odesa, dial 0 3635 2-34-56.
• International callers: Dial the international access prefix (e.g., 00 from most countries) followed by 380 3635 and the subscriber number. For instance, from the United States, dial 011 380 3635 2-34-56.

Overlay and Numbering Considerations

As of the latest ITU-T and UCRF updates, there is no overlay code for the Rokytne area. The numbering capacity is sufficient for the local subscriber base. However, the Ukrainian regulator has implemented a long-term plan to migrate all fixed-line numbers to a unified 9-digit format (including the leading 0) by 2025, but this does not affect the current dialing procedures.

For businesses or residents in Rokytne, it is essential to display numbers in international format on websites and marketing materials to ensure global accessibility. The geographic nature of the code means that VoIP services may also use such numbers, but the physical location of the caller does not affect the tariff structure for the called party.
