Area Code 3372 – Ivanychi, Volyn

Geographic Overview

The +380 3372 prefix is a geographic National Destination Code (NDC) assigned to the fixed-line telephone network serving the Ivanychi district (Ivanichi) in the Volyn Oblast of northwestern Ukraine. This area is part of the historic Volhynia region, near the border with Poland, and includes the urban-type settlement of Ivanychi as well as surrounding villages. The code is used for both local and international calls to landlines within this specific administrative district.

Dialing Formats

For local callers within Ukraine (when dialing from a different fixed or mobile network), the national trunk prefix '0' must be used before the area code. The full national format is: 0 3372 XXX XX, where '0' is the trunk prefix, '3372' is the NDC, and the subscriber number typically consists of five digits (though some numbers may have fewer digits in smaller exchanges). An example of a local number is: 0 3372 5 12 34.

For international callers, the country code for Ukraine is +380, and the leading '0' of the national prefix is dropped. The international dialing format is: +380 3372 XXX XX. For instance, to call a subscriber in Ivanychi from abroad, you would dial: +380 3372 5 12 34.

Caller Instructions

For local callers (within Ukraine): If you are calling from another fixed line in Ukraine, you must dial the full national number including the trunk prefix '0'. If you are calling from a Ukrainian mobile phone, you can dial the number in the same national format (0 3372 XXX XX) or in international format (+380 3372 XXX XX). Both will work.

For international callers: Dial the international access code of your country (e.g., 00 from most European countries, 011 from the US/Canada), followed by Ukraine's country code 380, then the area code 3372 (without the leading '0'), and finally the subscriber number. Example: 00 380 3372 5 12 34.

Overlay and Numbering Considerations

As of the latest ITU-T E.164 national numbering plan updates, there is no overlay code for the Ivanychi area. The 3372 code is exclusively for fixed-line services in this district. Mobile numbers in Ukraine are non-geographic and begin with prefixes like 50, 63, 66, 67, 68, 73, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, and are not affected by this geographic code. If you receive a call from +380 3372, it is originating from a fixed line in the Ivanychi district.

When dialing within the same local area (i.e., between two subscribers within the Ivanychi district), it may be possible to dial only the subscriber number without the area code, depending on the local exchange configuration. However, for clarity and to avoid misdialing, it is recommended to always use the full national format, especially when calling from mobile phones or other regions.
