• Local callers within Shuaxevi: If you are calling from another number within the same area code, you may need to dial only the 6-digit subscriber number, depending on your local exchange. However, for consistency and to avoid errors, it is recommended to always use the full national format: 0 424 XX XX XX.
• Callers from other regions in Georgia: Dial the trunk prefix 0, then the area code 424, followed by the subscriber number: 0 424 XX XX XX.
• International callers: Dial your country's international access code (e.g., 00 from most European countries), then Georgia's country code 995, then the area code 424 (without the leading 0), and the subscriber number: +995 424 XX XX XX.

Network and Numbering

The 424 area code is allocated for fixed-line services, primarily provided by the incumbent operator, Georgian Telecommunications (Geotel), and other licensed fixed-line operators. As with all geographic codes in Georgia, the numbering plan follows the ITU-T E.164 recommendation. The subscriber numbers within the 424 code are 6 digits long, allowing for a maximum of 1,000,000 direct dialing numbers. However, due to the rural nature of Shuaxevi, the actual utilization is significantly lower.

There are currently no overlay codes or 10-digit dialing requirements in Georgia. The trunk prefix '0' is always used for national calls, and the NDC is mandatory for all calls outside the local area. For VoIP users, the same dialing rules apply, but the call is routed over IP networks. It is important to note that while geographic numbers are tied to a physical location, they can be ported to other operators, but they remain associated with the Shuaxevi area for routing and tariff purposes.
