Geographic Coverage and Local Significance

Tsakhkahovit is a small town located on the slopes of Mount Aragats, the highest peak in Armenia. The area code serves the town itself and nearby villages, including Tsilkar and Kaniashir. Aragatsotn Province is known for its agricultural economy and historical landmarks, such as the Amberd Fortress and the Byurakan Observatory. The region is predominantly rural, and the fixed-line network here is operated by ArmenTel (Beeline) and Ucom, the primary fixed-line carriers in Armenia. Due to the low population density, the number of active lines under this code is limited, and the code is not subject to overlay or area code splitting.
