Area Code 2360 – Ayntap/Masis/Nor Kharberd/Norabats, Ararat

Overview of Armenia's Geographic Area Code 2360

Area code 2360 is a geographic destination code assigned within the Ararat Province of the Republic of Armenia, serving the communities of Ayntap, Masis, Nor Kharberd, and Norabats. These localities form a contiguous suburban zone southeast of the capital, Yerevan, and are part of the national numbering plan administered by the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia in accordance with ITU-T E.164 recommendations.

As a geographic prefix, 2360 routes calls to fixed-line PSTN and VoIP endpoints physically located within the specified exchange area. The code is not associated with mobile services; mobile numbers in Armenia are identified by non-geographic prefixes (e.g., 77, 91, 93, 94, 98, 99) and are not tied to a specific region.

Dialing Formats and Usage

For callers within Armenia, the national dialing format requires the trunk prefix 0 followed by the area code and the subscriber number. The complete national number for a fixed line in this region is:

• 0 2360 X XX XX (where X denotes the 6-digit local subscriber number)

For international callers, the country code +374 replaces the trunk prefix, and the area code is used without the leading zero:

• +374 2360 X XX XX

Example: If a local subscriber number is 45 12 34, the national dialing format is 0 2360 45 12 34, and the international format is +374 2360 45 12 34.

Geographic Coverage and Administrative Context

The 2360 area code covers the town of Masis (the administrative center of Masis Municipality) and the adjacent rural communities of Ayntap, Nor Kharberd, and Norabats. These areas are situated in the Ararat Plain, near the Araks River, and are known for agricultural production and proximity to Yerevan's southern industrial belt. The region is part of the Ararat Province, which borders Turkey to the west and Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan exclave to the south.

Because this is a geographic code, tariffs for calls to 2360 are typically lower than mobile rates, and the code is subject to number portability only within fixed-line services. Overlay codes have not been introduced for this area; the 2360 prefix remains the sole geographic code for the listed communities.

Caller Instructions

Local callers within Armenia must always dial the trunk prefix 0 before the area code, even when calling from a nearby location. International callers should replace the leading 0 with the Armenian country code +374. When dialing from a mobile phone inside Armenia, the same national format (0 2360 X XX XX) is used. For calls from abroad, ensure you have the correct international exit code (e.g., 00 from most European countries, 011 from North America) before dialing +374 2360 X XX XX.
