Within Argentina, calls to this region require dialing the national trunk prefix 0, followed by the area code 2326 and the subscriber's 6-digit local number. For example, a local call from Buenos Aires City would be dialed as 02326 123456. Dialing Instructions for Callers

• Local callers (within Argentina): Dial the national trunk prefix 0, then 2326, followed by the 6-digit local number. Example: 02326 654321.
• International callers: Dial your country's exit code (e.g., 011 from the US, 00 from most European countries), then 54, then 2326, and the local number. Example: +54 2326 654321.
• Mobile-to-fixed calls: Argentine mobile users must also include the 0 and area code when calling fixed lines, even if the mobile is in the same region.

Overlay and Numbering Considerations

As of the latest ITU-T and ENACOM (Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones) updates, area code 2326 does not have an overlay code. The local number length is consistently 6 digits. However, users should be aware that number portability is available in Argentina, allowing fixed-line subscribers to retain their numbers when switching operators within the same geographic area. This does not affect the area code structure.

Practical Usage and Relevance

For businesses and individuals in San Antonio de Areco, having a local geographic number is essential for establishing a trusted presence in the community. International callers should always use the +54 2326 format to ensure proper routing through the PSTN or VoIP networks.
